Jewellery was stolen from a woman in her 70s while she waited at a bus stop in St Albans.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, when a woman was waiting at a bus stop in Folly Lane shortly before midday on Saturday, November 8 when she was approached by a man and two women.
The group removed the gold necklace and earrings the victim was wearing before getting into a vehicle and driving off.
PC Matt Duric, who is investigating, said: "This is a disgraceful and unusual crime which targeted a vulnerable woman. The victim has been left extremely shaken by what has happened.
"I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time and saw what happened to contact me as soon as possible.
"I would also like to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, either prior to or around the time of the incident."
