Last year, 154,000 people signed up to the coffee morning, raising a record £20 million for Macmillan.
Customers who took part at M&S St Albans Cafe in St Albans raised more than £1,500 for the cancer charity.
Elsewhere, staff at Churchill Retirement Living took part in a ‘Giant Coffee Round Challenge’ to mark the occasion.
Directors from across the business were sponsored to make coffee for all of their staff for the morning, including Greg Hilton, Regional Managing Director, and Gideon Lemberg, Eastern Design Director, both based at Churchill Retirement Living’s Eastern office in St Albans.
Their efforts were caught on camera before each director was asked to nominate three people to take up the challenge.
Staff, patients and visitors at St Albans, Watford, and hospitals raised over £1,000 selling a wide range of tasty cakes and other goodies.
