Main Harpenden road to remain closed because of burst water main
A main road in Harpenden will be closed until this evening following a burst water main.
Affinity Water said B653 Lower Harpenden Road, near to Farr’s Lane would be closed until 7pm while repairs are completed. Diversions via the A1081 have been put in place.
The pipe initially burst on Monday and was repaired but has since burst again.
An Affinity Water spokesperson said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by a burst water main.
“We would like to thank customers for their patience whilst we carry out the repair”.
