Cassandra read her book, The Wiggly Jiggly Worm, to children and parents from Riverbanks Nursery School in Lower Luton Road on Wednesday, July 2.
Claire Atkins, nursery manager, said: “It went really, really well.
“The children asked Cassandra lots of questions and had lots of fun. They really enjoyed book week.”
The children were also treated to a visit from celebrated illustrator David Boyle , also known as Aurelia Verdoux, who is well-known for illustrating the Splotz books and Theo books.
He joined the children for and reading and smelling his Scentsational story books, while also drawing cartoon characters.
