And finally topping of a Night of pure adrenalin Sansara, all the way from Sunny Bournemouth.
Sansara have made a remarkable stamp in the memories of fans across the UK over the last year. This four piece alternative rock band, mostly in their early twenties, have risen to their highly deserved acclaim through relentless gigging and countless late night sessions in the studio, accompanied by well received national performances, from London to Glasgow and almost everywhere in between.
Taking pride in their original line-up, the band is fronted by lead vocalist Tom Sawyer, who delivers heartfelt vocals with every show, evidently fueled by the passion the entire band work hard to portray. Playing on a highly professional level with over a decade of performances under his belt, Sam Hughes comfortably fills the role of lead guitarist, pleasing listeners from all musical backgrounds with displays of pure skill and integrity. A key player in both the originality and development of the song writing process. Simon Holme works seamlessly with Mike Rigler on bass and drums respectively, to deliver a punch to the chest of an enthused crowd. Together they create the Sansara sound that fans have become accustomed to.
The audience of a February 2012 debut show saw Sansara burst on to the local music scene. With a mixture of impressive original tracks and well known, impactful covers, they certainly reminded the crowd that heavy rock was still alive and kicking. A stream of successful performances soon followed across the south coast, leading to a fully packed venue in the heart of Camden, London, in support of their first EP ‘Torn Between Lives’. Five star reviews aided the band in realising their hard work had paid off, sparring them onwards and upwards to seek the next level.
The end of 2012 proved to be Sansara’s most promising period to date. Placing in the top 10 of a national competition run by Metal Hammer, Classic Rock and Planet Rock, beating over a thousand other bands, they respectfully earned a slot at the prestigious Hammerfest, to play with the likes of Killing Joke, Hatebreed, Napalm Death and many more.
With shows now appearing regularly across the country, Sansara are becoming increasingly popular among fans of all genres. Their follow-up EP 'Let It Burn', released on 1st March 2013, sees a huge jump in both the quality and professionalism of the four recorded tracks, proving their worth to play with some of the biggest acts on the scene.
Sansara are:
Tom Sawyer - Lead Vocals,
Sam Hughes - Lead Guitar,
