Heavy Metal bands rocked once again at the Breaks Manor on Saturday night to rave reviews. Hatfield lads Sonic Scream were followed by Death Valley Knights and Neuronspoiler, all going down really well with fans.
The concert was the first in a series of monthly events that have been organised by generous Town Councillor Dean Archer who bore the initial costs out of his own pocket. All the bands performing asked to return and there were no complaints about the event by residents. Fans travelling in from as far as Cambridge, Hitchin and Luton have pledged support for the next show on July 27th with 40 advance tickets already sold.
A delighted Dean Archer said, "I was a bit apprehensive before the show, but when I heard the bands warming up I knew it would be a great night" He is also hoping that the events at Breaks Manor - which he calls The Rock Den - will establish the centre as an important live music venue, similar to the glory days during the 1960s & 70s when many chart topping acts performed there.
