A recruitment event for anyone interested in becoming a Special Constable is being held at The Howard Centre in Welwyn Garden City on Saturday, April 13th.
Between 10am and 3.30pm, visitors will have the chance to come along and speak to Special Constables and regular Police Officers about how to get involved in local policing through joining Hertfordshire’s Special Constabulary.
Special Constables have full police powers, uniform and protective equipment and work alongside the regular force. As volunteers, Specials are not paid but expenses are reimbursed.
If you are 18 or over, can multi-task, have great interpersonal skills and want to give something back to the community for at least 16 hours a month in your free time, why don’t you consider becoming a Special Constable?
