Butterfly World

Two whole weeks of events including insect handling every day at 11am, 1.30pm and 3pm, and face-painting every day from 12pm to 3pm. Matilda

Saturday Morning Pictures at UHArts are family-friendly film screenings accompanied by optional arts and crafts workshops. This season’s theme is ‘films about little people in a big world’ and continues with Matilda.

Matilda’s parents are very mean. When she gets to go to school she meets someone more atrocious than her parents - the worst principle imaginable! However, Matilda is about to surprise them all.

Jousting at Knebworth

Knebworth House, Gardens and Park kicks off its main season with a splendid display of medieval jousting on Easter weekend.

Enjoy all the romance, excitement and pageantry of former times with a line-up of equestrian skills and hand-to-hand combat. The two-day jousting tournament showcases spectacular action, stunts and fierce battles to capture the atmosphere of a bygone era. There are two jousts each day, and a sumptuous medieval banquet on Easter Sunday – complete with a medieval entertainer and stocks!

Furry Tails Festival

The storyteller is on the run from three-headed monsters, trying to bring you the most fantastic tales from the Magic Land of Three. Are you really sure what happened to the wolf and those three little pigs? What about Goldilocks? Why was she walking in the woods? And as for the three Billy Goats Gruff, how did they really deal with that troll? All will be revealed when the storyteller unfolds these fantastic, funny stories with fabulous puppets and a foot-tapping gypsy soundtrack.
