Police Officers and Specials Constables from Hertfordshire Constabulary will be holding a stand at two of Oaklands College’s careers fairs at the Alban Arena in St Albans on Tuesday, March 12.
Between 10.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 8pm, members of the public and school leavers interested in becoming a Special Constable or a Police Cadet will have the chance to attend the careers fairs to speak to officers.
Special Constables have full police powers, uniform and protective equipment and work alongside the regular force. As volunteers, Specials are not paid but expenses are reimbursed.
If you are 18 or over, can multi-task, have great interpersonal skills and want to give something back to the community for at least 16 hours a month in your free time, why don’t you consider becoming a Special Constable?
