Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Hatfield.
Officers were called to outside the Town Inn on Queensway at around 11.20pm on Friday, January 25 to reports three offenders had assaulted a man. The victim, a man in his 40s, was not injured. During the incident criminal damage was also caused to a window of the pub.
Detective Constable Charlie Thorogood is investigating and said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the alleged assault and criminal damage to contact me with information. If you believe you can assist, please contact the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number B2/13/245. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, the independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
Three women have been arrested in connection with the incident. They are:
• A 24 year old woman from Welwyn Garden City who has been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage.
• A 24 year old woman from Welwyn Garden City who has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
• A 22 year old woman from Hatfield was arrested on suspicion of affray.
They have been released on police bail to return on 27th February.
