HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL RUBBISH SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOLCHILDREN’S EDUCATION
Hertfordshire County Council is going ahead with their controversial move of Hatfield Southfield Schools special needs pupils, starting site clearance and construction.
The Council will commit £Millions in their plan to dislocate school children from their purpose built school environment designed around their every need to continue and in some cases complete their primary education in prefabricated portakabins.
Hertfordshire County Council continue to claim that this policy is in the best interest of the children to help them to avoid any stress and concerns during the construction of Veolia’s incinerator.
Welwyn and Hatfield Green Party Spokesperson Barry Cross feels “that the best way to express concern for the requirements of Hatfield Southfield Schools special needs pupils is to allow them to remain undisturbed in their present school environment”.
“Hertfordshire County Council seem to be more concerned to meet the requirements of Veolia in the construction of its incinerator than with the educational needs of vulnerable schoolchildren”
“Hertfordshire County Council should abide by the Call In decision and await the findings of the Public Enquiry instead of attempting to pre-empt it, and halt the construction of the temporary buildings before any more of its precious financial resources are wasted”
