66 year old Giles Whalley came in first in the final race of the British Bikes Trials at the Farnham Royal Club track on Sunday. It was the 12th and last race - or section - in the year long competition with Giles amassing an impressive 94 points.
Riding his trusty 45 year old Triumph 200 Tiger Cub motorbike, a mud spattered Giles was crowned champion, again, of the South Midlands British Bike Trials Sportsmans Route, an event which he'd also won in 2005 and 2006.
He is now contemplating retirement whilst still at the top, as he feels there is nothing, now, left for him to achieve.
This may be good news for the boy racers!
