Lorraine and John Bates have vowed to fight on to protect their livelihoods after Landlords of Hatfield's Oldings Retail Park have ordered them off the car park pitch they have had their for almost 5 years.
Today, a sign was placed against the popular Bon Appetit van to explain matters and thank their loyal customers.
It reads:
"To All Our Customers
Sorry but the van has been forced to close by the landlord, Mr Lawrence Britton of
La Salle Investments.
Reasons given: NEXT did not want us on site as the landlord wants to create a better image of the Retail Park, and we attract the wrong type of people eating greasy butties.
- and if people want to eat or drink, to use COSTA. As quoted in a raised tone over the phone.
To every single one of you, a big THANKYOU for your loyalty.
We are trying to relocate and hope to spread the word where we will be, and see you again in the future.
From both of us
Lorraine and John"
