Detectives investigating a robbery at a store in Hatfield yesterday (Monday, November 12) have appealed for witnesses to come forward and released a CCTV image relating to the incident.
At around 7.20pm a man has entered the Co-op on Bishops Rise and leapt over the counter before threatening the cashier with a knife.
He has then taken cash from the till and tobacco products before making off on foot in a southerly direction along Bishops Rise.
The offender was described as a white male, who is at least 6ft tall. He was wearing a three-quarter-length black coat, dark trousers, a dark balaclava and was carrying a dark coloured satchel.
DC Glen Turrell-Oldacre, from the Local Crime Unit in Hatfield, said: “I would like to speak with anyone who was in the area and saw this incident or who believes they may have seen the offender making off from the Co-op.
“If you have any information at all about the incident then please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
