Award nominated comedian Vicky Arlidge is back with her new show to turn your January blues into January Pinks.
The St Albans stand-up burst onto the comedy scene a few years ago with her song Mum Can You Wipe My Bum? which went viral and went on to receive a nomination for the Funny Women Best Show Award 2013.
In 2014 she was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Award and reached the semi finals of both the Golden Jester and Funny Women Awards.
Vicky, who performs with a keyboard or ukulele, was inspired by the first St Albans Film Festival to teach herself how to animate her songs and now performs live alongside the films, interacting with characters on the screen.
See some of them below.
“It adds another dimension to the show as I can have more visual comedy on screen. It also means that it’s no longer a one-woman show as I can have a bit of banter with some animated friends.”
Vicky’s animations have also made the official selection of the St Albans Film Festival and the London Short Film Festival and she now plans to submit one of them to Bafta.
