Artwork by youngsters from across the county is set to appear in a luxury Hertfordshire magazine – with the best appearing on the cover.

Our sister title, Hertfordshire Life magazine has joined forces with Visit Herts to give children the chance to design the magazine’s 2023 Christmas cover.

Editor Katy Pearson said: “Christmas is a magical time, especially for our little ones. The teams at Hertfordshire Life and Visit Herts thought it would make things extra special to get our county’s youngsters involved in our festive issue.

“Entries must have a Christmas design, and the judges are especially keen to see some of Hertfordshire’s iconic landmarks in there too.

“This is an amazing opportunity for young artists to see their work in print. I can’t wait to see all the entries and just how creative our youngsters can be!”

To enter, youngsters must live in Hertfordshire and be in school years 5-6 (age 9,10,11).

A selection of entries will be published in the magazine (along with the child’s first name, age and school), with the lucky winner’s drawing featuring on the cover.

To enter a drawing or painting or illustration a responsible adult simply needs to scan and email it to hertschristmascover@newsquest.co.uk with the creator’s first name, age and school, no later than Monday, October 2.
