'One of the best' - Cinderella pantomime at the Eric Morecambe Centre

The show runs from December 10 until Friday, December 30, and has been created by the same team as last year's production of Aladdin, Polka Dot Pantomimes.

The Eric Morecambe Centre itself is as amazing as you would expect from a new building, and all credit to the team who created this new Harpenden-based entertainment hub at the heart of the local community. Easy parking and access certainly complemented the venue.

The Herts Advertiser was invited to experience the show, and everything it had to offer.

Sitting down with our sweets, the show began with a hilarious opening scene which engaged the audience from the off, before flowing seamlessly into what, for me, was one of the best pantomimes I have seen (and I have seen a few as a father to a 13-year-old daughter!).

This pantomime was all the more impessive by the casting of the outstanding Fairy Flustered and the two Ugly Sisters, who were belly-laughing funny and engaged the audience with one liners suitable for both children and adults alike. 

Cinderella herself had a truly beautiful voice and the performance by Buttons was, of course, as cute as a button! 

Prince Charming was very dashing and the entire cast and supporting cast blew us away with their professionalism. A captivating tale from start to finish.

The highlight was Cinderella’s carriage rising into the air with gasps from the audience and children who looked on in amazement! It certainly bought a little magic to the evening.

We all know that times are tough, but this show offers outstanding value for money and a fantastic festive good feel factor which we can all agree is certainly much needed at the moment.
