Facing up to Jesus
What if you came face-to-face with Jesus at the supermarket? John Telford asks the question and wonders what the reaction would be...
I am a Human Resources Consultant, although I am due to retire in September this year. I have been in HR most of my career, having originally trained as a compositor. I started my management career at the Daily Mirror. Along with Dave Martin, and our wives, we started The Kings Community Church (part of the Newfrontiers stream of Churches) in 1997, having been involved with a Baptist Church for many years. KCC started in St. Albans, but we have mid-week groups in St. Albans and Welwyn. We have a particular outreach to the Students at the University of Hertfordshire. I have been married to Valerie for 43 years, and have two grown-up children and two grand-children.

As this article is published we are having our kitchen revamped after 22 years! The project also involves raising an arch, new flooring and formalising a utility room. My wife recently read that St Albans has more house extensions and building work going on than anywhere else in the country!
