Those planning street parties to celebrate the Queen’s forthcoming Diamond Jubilee have just a week to submit their applications.
The door for applications slams shut next Tuesday, May 1, for the extended bank holiday weekend celebrating the landmark in June.
Hertfordshire County Council will not be charging communities to close residential roads in the county for street parties on either Sunday 3, Monday 4 or Tuesday June 5.
To apply for a road closure to hold a street party in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, go to www.hertsdirect.org/diamondjubilee.
