TWO illegal immigrants who were taken into foster care in Welwyn Garden City after arriving in Britain last week have gone missing.
The two teenage Vietnamese girls, who illegally entered the country last Thursday, disappeared in the early hours of this morning. The girls' carers immediately notified police, who say they are anxious to trace them.
Thanh Tang,13, is described as slim with ginger shoulder length hair and around 5ft 3in tall. She was last seen wearing a black v neck woollen jumper, Black D&G designer tight fit jeans with a butterfly-shaped button.
Fifteen-year-old Giang Huang is described as 5ft 1in tall, of a slim build with black collar length straight hair. She was last seen wearing a grey woollen jumper and black D&G trousers.
Detective Sergeant Lynda Coates, who is investigating, said: “They are vulnerable girls - they are young, do not speak or read English and are new to the country. We think the most likely route they have taken is into central London. Any sightings of them should be passed immediately Hertfordshire Constabulary and the Harm Reduction Unit at Hatfield Police Station.”
