Hertfordshire police have issued a warning to off-road bikers causing damage to an open field in Bricket Wood.

Yesterday (Tuesday, March 26), officers handed a Section 59 to a rider, who used his van to transport bikes to the field off Lye Lane on Saturday (March 23).

The Section 59 is a marker placed on a person and a vehicle relating to antisocial driving behaviour.

If the offender repeats the crime within 12 months, Hertfordshire police will be able to seize vehicles under the police reform act.

A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said: "St Albans Neighbourhood Policing Team often receive calls regarding off road bikes at the Lye Lane, Bricket Wood open field location.
