A POPULAR local radio show, axed after one of the presenters asked a young girl what her "porn name" was, is being reinstated.
Listeners to the Ern And Vern Show on BBC Three Counties Radio complained that presenters Ernie Almond and Jonathan Vernon-Smith had asked the eight-year-old girl the inappropriate question.
The presenters were holding a phone-in discussion about the pseudonyms used in pornography, but the girl called to discuss another topic. A "porn name" is usually the name of your first pet coupled with your monther's maiden name.
But following a petition from supporters, the pair are set to return to the airwaves from Friday, September 14, albeit with a new start time of 10pm.
A campaigner for the presenters said: 2This is great news for fans of the show and even greater news for common sense.
"The show will return in a slightly different format but will still be as funny, unpredictable and totally bonkers as before.
"The main difference is that with its new post-watershed time slot, the show will be even more outrageous."
