Residents are being asked to have their say on civic events like Beating the Bounds in an online survey.

St Albans District Council wants to know if visitors enjoy and value their organised events in online survey by September 30.

The survey has been commissioned by a group of councillors reviewing the role that civic events play within the council’s visitor economy strategy.

The results will be published in October and available on the council’s website.

Councillor Beric Read, portfolio holder for community engagement and localism, said: "Tell us what you think about civic events such as the Remembrance Service, the Mayor’s Carol Concert and the Alban Weekend’s Pilgrimage Procession.

"The council wants to ensure that the events we organise are enjoyable and good value for money. Your comments will help us make future events even better."

The survey is available at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CivicEventsFeedback.

It can be completed anonymously and is open until the end of Monday, September 30.

The survey results will be published online here: http://stalbans.moderngov.co.uk/ieListDocuments.aspx?CId=449&MId=7399 after October 9.
