Police investigating a number of knifepoint robberies have made an arrest.
The five incidents happened in Alban Way, St Albans between May 7 and June 11.
Last night (June 11), a woman was robbed of her handbag after being threatened with a knife. Police have since recovered the bag.
The previous evening, a man was threatened near Prospect Road. He was asked to hand over his phone and cash - his bag was stolen.
On June 7 at around 11pm, a woman was forced to hand over £15 after being threatened at knifepoint in Grindcobbe Close in the Cottonmill area. She refused to hand over her phone.
Just before midnight on May 12, a man with a knife approached a man along the cycle path in Alban Way while on May 7, a dog walker handed over a wallet after he was threatened at knifepoint.
- A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of five robberies. He remains in police custody.
